Feature: Occasions Magazine

So, excited is the understated word of the day! For the past week I have been checking my mailbox every day with such anticipation it has been heart wrenching. Then, today, I open it up and start squealing! I am so excited to have my photographs in Occasions Magazine for their fall issue! They featured Victoria and Max’s wedding which was amazing of course! Take a peek below and grab yourself a copy while you are out!

Isn’t it beautiful! I not only am so excited about the publication my new “baby” arrived this week after months of being on a waiting list due to backorders by the manufacturer. Its an 85mm f1.4 and it is magnificent! I also picked up a 35mm f2, might as well right? I took all these images with the 35mm lens and I can’t wait for Allyson’s wedding next week to try them out! Yay for an awesome start to the weekend!

I am so excited to offer something so fun and personal for my clients! This is Meagan and Mark’s Creative Slideshow from their wedding last month. It is a fusion of video and photographs set to music. The one thing I thrive on is learning and it has been wonderful working with incorporating video with my photographs. Bridal Best & special occasions

This weekend made for a super booster! I met with Neil and Monica and they are the most precious couple on the planet! Neil is a photographer so you know I loved talking cameras with him for quite a while! I am shooting their wedding in April but due to them living in New York, Friday was our first opportunity to meet in person. Then later that evening I am notified that I have been given the honor of being call the “best” by Atlanta Bridal! I was floored and ecstatic all at once. Then on Monday morning I woke to a feature of a gorgeous wedding I shot a few months back on Occasions Magazine’s blog! It doesn’t stop there! I even booked my first wedding for 2012! Not bad progress for Monday morning! I am just so thrilled at where my camera has taken me and my heart is truly humbled when things like this happen. Thank you to all that support me and I am so excited for all the weddings I am going to shoot this year!

Commercial: Fall Styled Shoot

I am not sure if you have picked this up from my posts but I love weddings and I love being a photographer. I met Juli of JULI VAUGHN DESIGNS very briefly at a wedding I shot this past September. In my photography I love to have crisp, bright color and I absolutely love Juli’s use of that vivid color in her designs. So when she asked me to collaborate with her on a styled photoshoot I was instantly on board. I had the opportunity to go by Juli’s house last week and not only would I hire her to style my wedding I am seriously thinking of having her come style my house. She is so artistic with an innate ability to combine color and pattern it’s mind boggling!

I called up my dear and ever stylish friend, Elisha, to grace us with one of her dresses for the shoot. She came along with a gorgeous dress, beautiful handmade jewelry and her fierce poses! Check out her work at her shop on ETSY. The wedding dress she brought was very classically designed and had an awesome skirt that could be worn two different ways!
