Commercial: Elisha Sewell

If any of you out there follow my blog you know that I teach a college photography course and love my students. I <3 them so much that this morning I took my students out for a location shoot with some incredibly beautiful models and awesome clothes! We didn’t actually photograph Elisha, as the title might imply, but we did have some of her incredible designs! Check out her ETSY SHOP! Be on the look out for some of these photos to grace her store front. Our models were so fun and didn’t complain as we hiked around in the 100 degree weather. My students on the other hand……;) Completely kidding of course. I love the images and I can’t wait to see all the photos my students took!

Wedding: Anne + Kelly

Anne and Kelly were married this past weekend in Roswell at the United Methodist Church. I had shot there before several years ago so it was good to go to a familiar place. Anne and Kelly decided to have a First Look and see eachother prior to the wedding. I LOVE IT when my couples do this! It makes for such a fun relaxed day! I did it when I was married and I recommend it to all my brides! Plus I love the private photos that come from the First Look. They are so special and sweet. We had tons of time to shoot before the ceremony and we certainly utilized it! The clouds were our friend that day, shielding us from the harsh heat of the sun while allowing us to get some incredible photographs!

This wedding was so great for me! Two of my past couples were apart of this wedding and it has been wonderful to see how they have grown in their marriages and lives. So this makes my third wedding with this awesome group of people and I hope to see you at more!

Wedding: Krista + Parker

This is one of my absolute favorite weddings to date. Being a photographer is a constant battle between creativity and technology. I have been working with new editing techniques and submerging myself in Lightroom and it has paid off! I love these images! I love the feeling, the colors, the contrast….everything! It doesn’t hurt when you have a bride as beautiful as Krista and an 19th century home for a backdrop! Krista and Parker were married in Augusta, Ga…oh did I mention I love traveling for weddings! It is always inspiring to see new places! The wedding went perfectly. No one was rushing around and everyone was laid back and full of laughter! The guys were awesome and I loved the mixed suspenders they all wore. Krista’s dress was simple with a classic elegance to it. Thank you so much for letting me be apart of your day Krista and Parker. We had a blast!

Did I say I love these images??? hehe!

I tried out some new techniques at the reception and am so happy with the results (images above and below).

Anytime: Rebekah + Gregg

Rebekah and Gregg were one of my wedding couples over a year ago and wanted to get together while they were back in town for some more awesome photos! We were out early this morning trying to avoid the 100 degree weather that was bound for later in the afternoon. They were amazing and it’s so good to see my couples loving married life! I loved how adventurous they were splashing around in the waterfalls! It was great to see both of you again and I am so happy that life is going so well for the both of you!

UNITE:CHARITY

UNITE, a photographers group, worked with Operation Mobilization to raise funds to help in their efforts with the Dalits of India. Please view the link below to learn more about this mission. We wanted to show Christ in a holistic way, demonstrating His love to others as well as sharing the Gospel.

We had a SHOOT OUT yesterday using the talents that we were given for the benefit of others. It is a way to help your fellow man while also taking time to truly be thankful for what we have. We filled 12 appointments where the clients had focused time with 3 photographers at their designated location (all in walking distance of one another). It was a great experience and a great way to have different styles all in one sitting. They will receive a disc of 3 ARTIST CHOICE photos from each photographer with rights to print with their session fee.

What amazed me was the common heart of giving. We sold CDs of additional images (they purchased discs of 30 images) to 10 of the 12 families and also raffled off a 16×20 print. Congrats Ashley P. for winning that! I am so happy for you!

As of right now we raised $1800.00 yesterday with the possibility of raising a little more with print sales.

I can’t believe the hard work that the photographers and volunteers showed and I am proud to be apart of such a wonderful, community and global minded group!

Wedding: Courtney + Win

Courtney and Win were married this past Saturday at Second Baptist Church in Griffin. It was so amazing to have a wedding in my home town. The weather was harsh but we braved the heat and got some great photographs! Courtney and Win were so awesome together that you could see instantly that they were meant to find one another. I loved seeing familiar faces and familiar places for this wedding. The reception was held at the Baily Tebault House, which by the way is gorgeous! The DJ was great and we partied the night away! Congrats to the both of you! I wish you the world!

Wedding: Shauna + Andem

It was wonderful to be in Atlanta this past weekend for the wedding of Shauna and Andem! It was also great to work with my friend Summer from MY SIMPLY PERFECT WEDDING & EVENTS. She did an incredible job and the entire day was perfect! Really! I loved the detailing on Shauna’s dress and her veil was gorgeous! The ceremony and reception was held at The Four Seasons Hotel in the heart of the city. We ventured out into the streets for several shots and even stopped traffic once or twice! Andem’s family flew in from Nigera for the festivities and the love and happiness for these families joining together was so evident that you could feel it in the air. Congratulations to the both of you! Thank you so much to Summer for such a great wedding and I hope to work with you again soon!

Engagement: Maggie + Bryan

This morning I jumped in the car and headed to Athen’s Ga. I spent the morning with Maggie and Bryan shooting their engagement session. I LOVE when I have a new spot to shoot! It really gets me going! So I was stoked to head to the warehouse district in the city of Athens and then over to the Botanical Gardens. The warehouse was definitely an adventure and we got a few strange looks and comments as we ventured into some pretty remote locations there. It was awesome! They are such a beautiful couple. I would also like to add that I loved Maggie’s freckles me being freckled myself…hehe! Congrats guys! Y’all were a blast and I will see you in September!

Wedding: Lindsey + Adam

This past weekend we got the chance to travel to Alabama for a beautiful plantation style wedding. Lindsey was such a gorgeous bride. The love between the two of them was so apparent it was wonderful! She had the best candy bar I have seen yet and a few detail shots are posted below. I did a bridal session with Lindsey a couple of months ago and was unable to post any of the photos so please check out a few I have posted below. I am so happy for the both of them and wish them the world! Congratulations to you both!
