Wedding: Jessica + Jim

Jessica and Jim were married on Saturday March 6, 2010 at one of the most gorgeous churches I have ever photographed! It is Christ the King, incase you were curious We had shot there a few times before and I was excited to go back! Jessica was on pins and needles with excitement before the wedding! Jim was so cool and collected and ready to see his bride walk down the aisle. They have been together for quite a while and you might have seen them hitting up the great spots in Virginia Highlands during their dates! Congratulations to you both and I hope you have fun at the beach on your honeymoon!

Engagement: Shauna + Andem

This afternoon I strolled around Centennial Olympic Park with Shauna and Andem. They were great sports to brave the freezing wind for their shoot. The light was beautiful today and the wind made for some excellent hair blowing action! They were up for anything and I love that! You want to sit on the concrete? Sure! You want to lay on the ground? Sure! You want to jump in through the water? Sure! Secretly I am thinking to myself….”Yes!” *insert hand pumping motion* Shauna was so beautiful. She has the most striking eyes and I loved how she was working those leopard print heels! They are getting married at the Four Seasons this summer and I can’t wait to see her as a bride…..she will be gorgeous! Congrats to you both and I will see you soon!

Wedding: Susan + Shane

Susan and Shane are definitely two hearts that were destined to be together. They both strongly believe in giving of themselves to the world and to each other. They were both so happy they were glowing. Yep…both of them! Their wedding ceremony was so unique and personal to them that it will stay with me and all their guests for years to come. Shane sang as his bride-to-be began to walk down the aisle. He met her half way and got down on his knee and asked her to marry him…again. The end of the ceremony was just as incredible. As the officiant announced the bride and groom people began to clap and then a few burst into song as the Georgia Tech Glee Club sprint into the room singing “All You Need Is Love” by The Beatles. Told ya….awesome! The wedding and reception was held at the Atlanta Chamber of Commerce on the rooftop overlooking Centennial Olympic Park.

Susan and Shane decided to have a private moment together before the ceremony. I love it when a couple sees each other beforehand! It allows for some very intimate photos.

Friday Mornings Are For Fashion!

This Friday morning I got up long before the sun even thought about it and prepared for an early fashion shoot. A few years ago I photographed Elisha’s wedding and we have remained in contact and I like to call her my friend. She is breaking out of the mold and pursuing her passion which makes me happier than I can express. She is a budding fashion designer and I can see that the sky is the limit for her! Keep going girl and you will be astonished at where you are this time next year and then the next…..you get my point. DO IT!!! I am so proud of you to follow your dream and I am in awe of your abilities!

Model Shoot With My Students

I absolutely love my students and I love going on location shoots with them and having some amazing pro models! It is experience that never can be conveyed in the classroom. It is inspiration from one another and the environment and model that drives the images that are produced. I am venturing into more commercial/fashion work and this was a great start. I am working and learning right along beside my students, feeling inspired by them! My students have come so far since last fall and I couldn’t be happier with them. I am shooting another fashion shoot with an incredible local designer next week too so keep an eye out for that blog! Here are just a few of my photos to give you a taste of what went on today.
