I have known Kelly for several years now and on occasion we share a debate about American Idol and a bottle of wine so when she asked me to shoot her wedding I was ecstatic! I love to do weddings for my friends because I know everyone, I dance, I chat, and I shoot! There is an added pressure for the images to come out great, all self inflicted of course, because they are your friends…so Kelly and Steven….I hope I did you well! Saturday was a drippy, soggy day so we were forced to take the wedding under the tents at Dunaway Gardens. The staff did a great job with the decor and the lighting was amazing! The food was great and they had one of the best groom’s cakes….ever! An Xbox 360! Yep! Check it out below in the reception shots! Hilarious!
The above shot (right) I have fallen in love with! The colors are so vibrant and the playful look on Kelly’s face tops it off!
By the time the ceremony was completed the rain was really coming down and it was pitch black outside. We did a super slow exposure (above right), about a 2 seconds, trying to capture the rain and of course we used my super colorful umbrella!
They also had a partybooth which is always fun! So here a just a few of the 400 or so shots the guests took! Wow!
